Charges against the Bradford man accused of breaking a city police officer’s leg when he was trying to take him into custody following a domestic incident have been bound to McKean County Court.
Court records say 50-year-old Mark Andress fought with police as they tried to put handcuffs on him. Besides breaking the officer’s leg, Andress put him in a choke hold, but the officer did not let him go. When another officer arrived on the scene Andress told him he told the other officer not to f*** with him.
The incident started when Andress allegedly choked a woman with a strap on a rope and tried to push her toward an open window in a second-floor apartment.
Andress remains in McKean County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.
The injured police officer had surgery on his leg and is still on leave while he recovers.
