Kane Area High School went into lockdown Thursday at 1:16 p.m. after a police incident near the school. Police radio reports indicated there was a suicidal male on Chestnut Street in Kane. School superintendent Jeff Kepler says there was no danger to the students or staff and the school went into its highest lockdown level as a precaution. Kepler says the high school resumed normal activities at 1:45 p.m.
