A Smethport man is facing multiple charges after being accused of ramming another vehicle with three people in it. Court records say that Smethport Police responded to a 911 call of two vehicles traveling towards East Smethport at a high rate of speed. Police then received a call that 27 year-old Thaddius Lathrop had rammed a pickup truck with a man, woman and child in it. They then proceeded to the Smethport Junior-Senior High School to get away from him. Lathrop is charged with three counts of recklessly endangering another person, harassment and disorderly conduct. He was sent to the McKean County Jail on $50,000 bail. Lathrop is also currently awaiting court proceedings for assaulting his wife on Christmas night.
