A state historical marker was dedicated Saturday at the old arch entrance to Dr. Edward McCleery’s Wolf Farm along Route 6 in Hamlin Township. McCleery is honored as the man who saved the lobo wolf from extinction. There’s a stone arch in front of the farm that was built in 1929. There’s also a book about McCleery, by Nancy Avolese, called “The Wolf Man of Kane, Pennsylvania: An Historical Record.”
