A Gifford man waived his preliminary hearing Wednesday on charges representing two attempted robberies in Clearfield County during a three county crime spree last week. 19 year-old Tyler Newman is accused of displaying a handgun during a robbery at a Sheetz in Kylertown and a Kwik Fill in Cooper Township. Additional charges have been filed in the city of Bradford for stealing an SUV and are pending for a vehicle theft at the Sheetz in Ridgway where he threatened a motorist with a handgun. Newman is scheduled to appear today in Bradford before District Judge Dominic Cercone for two theft cases in Bradford earlier this month.
