The Pirates rocked the Miami Marlins Monday night 10-0. Jeff Locke tossed a three-hitter. Locke struck out only one batter, but didn’t walk one in the complete game victory. It was the first complete game by a Pirate since Vance Worley on July 28, 2014. Locke retired 19 straight at one point and needed just six pitches to get through the seventh inning. Gregory Polanco hit a grand slam home run to lead the Pirates offense. Sean Rodriguez added a two-run shot. David Freese had four hits. With the win the Pirates grabbed the first game of a four-game series in Miami.
