The Seattle Seahakws downed the Detroit Lions Monday night 13-10 on WESB. The NFL has admitted that it botched a critical call at the end of the game. The Lions trailed by three with 1:51 left when Calvin Johnson lunged for the end zone from the 1 yard line, but Seahawks safety Kam Chancellor punched the ball out of his hands. Seahawks linebacker KJ Wright then knocked the ball out of the back of the end zone, which is illegal according to the NFL and would have given the Lions the ball at the one and first down and goal. The officials ruled a touchback and the Seahawks took over on their own 20.
