The Pittsburgh Steelers cut kicker Shawn Suisham today. Suisham failed a physical 11 months after suffering a torn ACL in his right knee. He was injured last summer attempting to make a tackle in the Hall of Fame preseason game Aug. 9. His release assures that Chris Boswell, barring injury, will open the season as the Steelers’ kicker. Suisham was 124 for 141 in field-goal attempts and made all 173 of his extra point attempts during his career with the Steelers.
