The Willows Restaurant has officially closed its doors after nearly two-and-a-half years of operation under new ownership. Maryanne Cole bought the business with her brother Tom and their friend Anthony Chirillo in early 2013. After the purchase, the business underwent extensive renovations that included new ceilings, carpet, waitress station, a wood-fired grill and more.
Cole believes a few factors could be the reason they had to shut down the business. The first being the location, as she doesn’t think most people want to drive 9 miles out of Bradford for the food. She also said that the food itself might be part of it. Most other restaurants in the area serve very similar food for a reason. The last reason is the prices.
Cole is meeting with a real estate agent to get an appraisal for selling the business.
