The Tuna Valley Trail Association has decided to move the dedication of the Cornelius Connection Trail back a week.
The dedication had been scheduled for October 8, the day of the Marilla Trail Race, but the trail association board decided moving the dedication ceremony to October 15 would give it the attention it deserves.
The Cornelius Connection Trail is being named in honor of the late Gene Cornelius, one of the founding members of the TVTA organization and Master Trailblazer. He died unexpectedly earlier this year.
As for the race, the board says everything is coming to together.
Also coming together – the Hanley Park section of the Community Parks trail. A ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for October 28.
And, the Eagle Trail at Crook Farm, originally blazed and developed by Boy Scout Troop 414 over a decade ago, has been re-established by TVTA and is again open for use.
