A Tioga, PA, woman will spend 21 months in federal prison for stealing a gun and then taking it into New York, where it was used to shoot a police officer..
The US Attorney’s office say 27-year-old Danelle Wilson, and her co-defendant Ciera Bennett, stole the .38 caliber revolver from a Tioga resident and then, in April of 2012, took it took Elmira, New York, and sold it to get money to buy drugs.
The gun was recovered in December 2012, in Ithaca, New York, where it was used in October to seriously injure an Ithaca police officer.
Bennett was also convicted and sentenced to 16 months in prison.
