The New England Patriots improved to 3-0 Thursday night with a 27-0 shutout of the Houston Texans. Patriots rookie and third string quarterback Jacoby Brissett had a 27-yard touchdown run in his first NFL start. Running back LeGarrette Blount added scoring runs of 1 and 41 yards. The Texans never got going on offense and committed three turnovers that led to 14 Patriots points in the shutout loss to the Patriots. The Texans, who fall to 2-1, entered the game with the NFL’s third-ranked defense and nine sacks through two games, but they struggled to put pressure on the 23 year-old quarterback.
