The Bills squeaked out a 19-17 win over the Browns in preseason play yesterday, but it may have come at a cost. A.J. McCarron suffered a hairline fracture to his right collarbone during the game.
McCarron left the game after the first quarter concluded as planned, with Josh Allen taking over. But late in the game it was announced that McCarron had sustained the injury and would not have been fit to return to the game.
Head coach Sean McDermott confirmed the injury but didn’t have any further details in his postgame press conference. “All I really know right now is that he hurt his right shoulder,” said McDermott. “We’ll get some more tests done when we get back to Buffalo.”
