Bradford Little Theatre invites any area youth ages 8-18 to audition for the first musical of their 23rd Season, Disney’s Frozen Jr.! The spectacular 60-minute musical is based on the 2013 Disney film and its 2018 Broadway adaptation.
Auditions will take place at Togi’s Playhouse, 18 Welch Ave, Bradford, beginning on Sunday, September 29, from 3-6 p.m. Additional dates and times for auditions are Tuesday, October 1 and Thursday, October 3 from 6-9 p.m., and Sunday, October 6 from 1-4 p.m.
This fanciful and heartwarming stage adaptation of the top-grossing animated film has been adapted for young performers. All of the characters from the original movie are back, including Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, and Olaf! There are roles for actors, singers, and dancers, or any combination of the three. Disney’s Frozen Jr. includes favorite songs from the film such as “Love Is an Open Door,” “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?,” and “Let It Go,” as well as wonderful new songs from the original Broadway production.
Anyone who wishes to audition cannot turn 19 before January 13, 2020, and must be at least 8 years of age at the time of auditioning. There is one exception: a 6 or 7-year-old girl may audition for the role of young Anna, but she will not be considered for any other role. Those auditioning for a lead role need to prepare a song from the movie or Broadway show to sing. Any person auditioning for a non-lead, or ensemble, role may sing any song. All singers should bring along the accompaniment, either on a CD or a device, to be played while singing
Performance dates are January 10, 11, and 12, 2020, at Bradford Area High School, 80 Interstate Pkwy. For more information about auditions check out Bradford Little Theatre on Facebook, www.facebook.com/BradfordLittleTheatre.
