Charlotte Muckinhaupt, RN, received the fourth quarter Nightingale Award at Bradford Regional Medical Center.
She has worked at BRMC since 2010. Over the years, she’s worked in medical/ surgery/telemetry and the critical care unit. She received two nominations from medical staff.
“She calmly talks to family members at the bedside to explain equipment and treatment so they understand their loved one’s condition. We need more RNs like Charlotte,” said Jenny Ursoy, PA-C.
“If I had to choose three words to describe her, I would use words such as professional, conscientious and compassionate. There is no one else with a more reassuring tone, a softer or caring touch or the ability to calm a patient in the critical care environment,” said Steven Herrmann, MD.
The Nightingale Award is a quarterly recognition of nursing excellence determined by nominations from the medical staff at BRMC.
