Six more players have been named to the Big 30 Charities Classic squads.
Added to the Pennsylvania team are Jake Walters from St. Marys High School, and Stephen Bobby and Anthony “Gergy” Gerg from Elk County Catholic.
Joining the New York team are Peyton Hayes from Frewsberg, Niklas Logel from Ellicottville, and Roland Thompson from Portville.
Jake Walter
St. Mary’s Area High School

Height: 6′- Weight: 269 Lbs.
Jake will either pursue a career in Woodworking or Criminal Justice. He received letters in both JV football and Varsity Football. He is looking forward to representing SMAHS football on an all-star team. His favorite memory was having the fans storm the field after the losing streak was broken. His hobbies are woodworking, football and weightlifting. His favorite NFL team is the New York Giants and his favorite player is Nate Solder.
Stephen Bobby
Elk County Catholic
Offense: RB/ATH- Defense: SS/K
Height: 5’9″- Weight: 205 Lbs.
Stephen plans to attend Ave Maria University and play football while Majoring in Nursing. He is the winner of the Paul Sadoni Award, a 3 year letter winner in football, and a 4 year letter winner in track and field, and qualified for states twice in the 4 by 1 relay. He is looking forward to playing one more time in the High School atmosphere, which there is none other like it. He is looking forward to playing again with his friends and making new friends. His favorite moment was watching his brother score a touchdown against Port Allegany and looking into the stands and seeing his family cheering him on. His hobbies include playing piano, pretending to be Danny Duncan, listening to Billie Eilish, playing football and hanging out with the boys. His favorite NFL team is the New York Jets and his favorite college team is the Stanford Cardinals, and his favorite player is Phillip Lindsay.
Anthony “Gergy” Gerg
Elk County Catholic

Height: 5’10”- Weight: 140 Lbs.
Anthony plans on attending Ave Maria University to major in Physics and be a student manager on the university football team. He is a member of the National Honor Society, he also lettered twice in football and received the Bill Gapinski Award for excellence in football at ECC. In addition, he was awarded the Big 30 Pa 12th man of the year Award. He wants to play in the Big 30 Game because football means so much to his family and he tought he had played his last game of football. He is honored to have been selected to play in the game. His favorite memory has to be rolling down Pebble Beach and getting, sick then going to practice and getting the crap kicked out of him by his teammates Doug Schatz and Joe Kucenski. His hobbies include hunting, fishing, playing Madden with the boys and going to Mcdonalds. His favorite NFL team is the Pittsburgh Steelers and his favorite player is John “The Diesel” Riggins.
Peyton Hayes
Frewsburg Central School

Height: 6’2″- Weight: 190 Lbs.
Peyton plans on attending College and major in Business. He was named 2nd team defensive all-star Section 6 Class C 2018, and 1st team all-star section 5 in 2019. He says he was honored to be selected to the team and is excited for the opportunity to play one last game. His favorite memory was his first tackle against Portville. His hobbies include hunting, fishing, basketball, lacrosse and hanging out with his friends. His favorite NFL team is the Buffalo Bills and his favorite player is Ray Lewis.
Niklas Logel
Ellicottville Central School
Offense: TE- Defense: DE
Height: 6’4″- Weight: 205 Lbs.
Niklas plans to attend Baldwin Wallace University and play football for the Yellow Jackets-Stinger. He was named Co-Defensive Player of the Year (Section 6 Class D), 1st team Section 6 Class D All-League at Tight End, a Trench Trophy nominee and a Big 30 all-star at Defensive End. Niklas is extremely honored to have been selected and is looking forward to playing one last game of High School football. His favorite memory was beating the state champs CSP at home. His hobbies include skiing, basketball and weight training. His favorite NFL team is the Kansas City Chiefs and his favorite player is Travis Kelce.
Roland Thompson III
Portville Central School
Offense: FB- Defense: LB
Height: 6′ – Weight: 177 Lbs.
Roland plans to attend Alfred State College and study Heavey Equipment Operation and find a job doing something he loves. Roland is a High Honor Roll Student at PCS. He was named to the 2019 Big 30 Defensive All-Star team, 2019 Defensive All League, 2018/19 Happy Caya Defensive MVP, 2018 2nd team all league. In addition in Wrestling he placed 6th in the 2017 Class C Section 6 Tournament and 3rd place in 2018. He is looking forward to representing his town, team and state and to suit up one more time with his football brothers. His best football memory was beating Akron in his first home playoff game. His hobbies are hunting, fishing and lovin every day. His favorite NFL team is the SF 49’ers and his favorite player is Patrick Willis.
