Derrick City firefighters battled a house fire early Sunday morning.
Assistant Chief Mike Scrivo says when he arrived at around 1 a.m. fire was showing on the front porch and there was smoke throughout the building.
An Engine from the Limestone VFD assisted with ventilation and overhaul. Fire was contained to the front porch and one single bedroom. Bradford City and Bradford Township firefighters were on standby.
The fire department and Foster Township police investigated and ruled the fire accidental.
Firefighters were on the scene for about 2 1/2 hours.
