The Pittsburgh Steelers-Baltimore Raven game has been moved from Thanksgiving night to Sunday afternoon, the NFL announced Wednesday.
The game was moved after positive coronavirus tests for a number of Ravens players. Seven Baltimore players — including running backs Mark Ingram and J.K. Dobbins — tested positive for COVID-19 over the past three days. None of those players will be eligible to play Sunday.
The NFL is in the process of identifying and evaluating close contacts of the Ravens players who tested positive.
Wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster was one of several Steelers players to express unhappiness with the move, writing on twitter “First the NFL takes away our bye week because another team can’t get their Covid situation together, now they take away our Thanksgiving primetime game for the same reason. Smh.”
This is the 13th game of the NFL season that has been postponed or moved due to coronavirus-related issues.
