For the first time since mid-December the number of people in McKean County with new confirmed cases of COVID-19 was in the single digits.
Seven new confirmed cases were reported Wednesday, four in Bradford.
Cameron, Potter and Warren counties reported no new confirmed cases, and Elk County only one.
FCI-McKean is down to 32 active cases among inmates. On Monday, there were 52.
For the fifth straight day no deaths were reported in McKean County. Chautauqua County reported four; Jefferson, two.
The statewide recovery rate is 83 percent, which is the highest it’s been since the pandemic started.
Six people are hospitalized in McKean County, two in ICU. Three are hospitalized in Elk County seven in Jefferson; six in Potter, one in ICU; and three in Warren County. Thirty-nine people are hospitalized in Cattaraugus County.
So far, 1,550 people have had one dose of a COVID vaccine; 882 have had both doses. Find more vaccine information here:
