The City of Olean will be upgrading their police dispatch telephone service Monday evening, which may lead to a service interruption.
The dispatch’s telephone system will be replaced with fiber optic connections, which will make non-emergency calls to the department impossible for about two hours starting at 5:00.
911 calls will not be affected.
If police are needed for a non-emergency, the County Sheriff’s Department dispatch center will be able to help at 716-938-9191 during the brief outage.
