The Philadelphia Eagles trounced the San Francisco 49ers 31-7 in the NFC Championship game in Philadelphia yesterday on WESB Sports.
The Eagles defense stifled rookie quarterback Brock Purdy, and his back-up Josh Johnson, who came in when Purdy was injured, but was later injured himself sending Purdy back out onto the field.
Jalen Hurts threw for just 121 yards but also rushed for 36 yards and a touchdown, Miles Sanders rushed for two more TDs and Boston Scott added a fourth rushing touchdown as the Eagles earned their first trip back to the Super Bowls since winning their first Lombardi trophy in 2017. The Philadelphia defense registered 7 quarterback hits, 3 sacks and 3 fumble recoveries.
The Eagles will meet the Kansas City Chiefs for Super Bowl LVII on February 12th in Glendale Arizona.
