Bradford Regional Medical Center’s new Occupational Health Center opened today, and the occasion honored a longtime healthcare provider.
Upper Allegheny Health System President Dr. Jill Owens explained the decision to christen the new facility the Dr. Anita Herbert Occupational Health Center.
“We’re just thrilled today to be able to honor Doctor Anita Herbert, who has been just an inspiration to the medical community here and occupational wellness in Bradford. She’s provided occupational medicine care since the program’s inception at BRMC, and she really is responsible for what it is today, so we’re thrilled to be able to honor her.”
Dr. Herbert was present to cut the ribbon on the facility and made a few brief remarks.
Bradford Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Heidi Scrivo Passmore said that Dr. Herbert’s contributions were not just in the medical field.
“Doctor Herbert has been so active in this community for so many years, through her work and occupational health, but also through her help in the community.”
The new Occupational Health Center is located on the first floor of BRMC.
