The Chicago Bears edged the Carolina Panthers 16-13 in Chicago last night on WESB Sports.
D’Onta Foreman ran for a touchdown and the Bears boosted their shot at the top pick in the draft with a prime time win over the Panthers.
The Bears acquired Carolina’s first-rounder in 2024 along with receiver D.J. Moore last March for the top selection this year. With the loss, the Panthers are tied with Arizona — which plays Atlanta on Sunday — for the worst record in the NFL.
Undrafted rookie Tyson Bagent completed 20 of 33 passes for 162 yards in his fourth straight start with Justin Fields sidelined because of a dislocated right thumb. Foreman ran for 80 yards and a score and Moore caught 5 passes for a game-high 58 yards.
The Bears improve to 3-7 on the season and will next play at Detroit next Sunday. The Panthers fall to 1-9 and will host Dallas.
