A Buffalo man previously convicted for a St. Bonaventure University robbery has pleaded guilty to multiple felony drug- and gun-related charges following several years of illegal activity in the Olean area, the U.S. Attorney’s office announced Tuesday.
Prosecutors allege that Nader Ngoopos, also known as “Nike,” traveled to Olean on at least a weekly basis, selling cocaine and heroin out of various locations. Co-conspirators also sold cocaine and heroin as part of the conspiracy on a weekly basis, federal authorities said.
In October of 2018, Ngoopos participated in an armed robbery at St Bonaventure with two others and was convicted of the crime in 2020.
The new charges carry a mandatory minimum penalty of five years in prison, a maximum of life and a $5 million fine. Sentencing is scheduled for February.
