Embarrassing. That’s how Buffalo Sabres head coach Lindy Ruff described the Sabres’ play in their loss to Seattle on Saturday, 6-2.
“I thought the second period was embarrassing, the way we played.,” said Ruff. “We had our own time, didn’t get to the inside, … passed the puck around the perimeter, looked for the pretty play, and eventually it caught up to us. And then they give up a goal in the last couple minutes. And it’s on the play, unacceptable. Just embarrassing, actually.”
The Sabres get a bit of a breather before they return home at 6 o’clock on Wednesday to face Carolina.
