The Buffalo Sabres, winning four of their last five games, capped it off on Sunday with an 8-5 win on the road against the Washington Capitals.
Sabres head coach Lindy Ruff admits that recently his team has played with a different level of desperation. “You know, I think the amount of block shots tonight, on a whole, shows the level of desperation, you know, pretty nice,” said Ruff. “You try to establish playing that will help you win every game. We’re talking about our road record. Our road record hasn’t been that good,” he continued”. “And we’re trying to play our harder brand, the simpler brand that we have been focused on …a harder brand of hockey, take care of the puck more be in more shot lanes, and work on our road record.”
Buffalo will stay on the road to face Ottawa tomorrow night. (April 1).
