Throughout the month of April, Bradford Regional Medical Center (BRMC) and Olean General Hospital (OGH), Kaleida Health facilities, are offering a variety of classes and support groups designed to provide health education, encouragement and community connection.
Whether you are managing a health condition, navigating a loss or caring for a loved one, programs offer valuable guidance and are open to the public.
If you are scheduled for total joint replacement surgery, join our Total Joint Care Class. This class provides an overview of your procedure, the recovery process, and the rehabilitation you will need. It is led by an experienced member of our outpatient rehabilitation team. This month, the class will be held on Wednesday, April 16, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the OGH Education Center on the first floor. To register, please call (716) 375-7481.
At BRMC, individuals can connect with others dealing with a loss of a friend or loved one by attending the Grief Relief Support Group. Grief can feel overwhelming, but you are not alone. This group meets in the Community Room in the BRMC Main Lobby for a compassionate and supportive group where you can share your journey with others who understand. This will take place on Tuesday, April 29, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call (814) 362-8288. No registration required. The meeting is free and open to the public.
The Dementia Support Group centers around individuals caring for a loved one with dementia. This group, led by Alzheimer’s Association member Mary Cukierski, provides a space to connect, share experiences and gain helpful resources. The group meets monthly at BRMC in the Pavilion Activities Room. This month’s meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 30, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. For more information or to register, call (814) 362-8293. This event is free and open to the public.
