A Cuba woman faces charges for allegedly stealing a checkbook.
According to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s office, 39-year-old Monica Barber was charged with 2 counts of felony grand larceny, as well as misdemeanor forgery and possession of a forged instrument. Barber is accused of stealing a checkbook and using forged checks to withdraw more than $3,000 from area banks.
Barber was released with an appearance ticket.
