A Salamanca woman was charged with felony welfare fraud on Monday morning.
Deputies of the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office charged Natasha D. Beil with felony Grand Larceny, felony Welfare Fraud and felony Offering a False Instrument for Filing.
The charges were the result of Beil allegedly failing to report income following an investigation into a complaint from the Cattaraugus County Department of Social Services filed in January.
Beil is alleged to have fraudulently received $1,911 in SNAP benefits and was taken into custody at the Cattaraugus County Department of Social Services in Olean without incident.
Beil was released with an appearance ticket and is due in the City of Olean Court at a later date.
