An Olean man was arrested in connection to a Jamestown shooting late Sunday night.
According to Deputies of the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Department, 41-year-old Brandon M. Blackshear was taken into custody on an active felony warrant after a traffic stop on W. Green St. on a bicycle where he failed to pull over leading deputies to his house.
Blackshear was additionally charged with Resisting Arrest, Obstructing Governmental Administration and various bicycle infractions.
Blackshear allegedly became uncooperative while deputies attempted to detain him, reaching for his hoodie pocket, where a knife was later discovered. Drug paraphernalia was also seized off of his person.
Blackshear was released on an appearance ticket and uniform traffic tickets but was then transported to Randolph and turned over to the City of Jamestown Police Department.
Blackshear is due in the City of Olean Court at a later date for further proceedings.
