Golfers from across the region are invited to hit the links for a great cause at the 3rd Annual Golf Tournament hosted by Salamanca Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. The tournament will be held Saturday, June 21, at the picturesque Pine Acres Golf Course, located at 1503 Pine Acres Golf Course in Bradford, Pennsylvania.
Registration opens at 8 a.m., with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Entry is $80 per player or $320 per team, which includes greens fees, cart, a hamburger or hot dog at the turn, and a delicious pulled pork dinner with sides following play.
Proceeds from the tournament support resident programs and activities at Salamanca Rehabilitation and Nursing Center—enhancing quality of life and creating joyful, meaningful experiences for those who call the center home.
“This event is more than just a golf tournament—it’s a way for our community to come together and support the people who call our center home,” said Craig Southard, Director of Maintenance Facilities and tournament coordinator. “The funds raised allow us to offer more meaningful experiences and programs that bring joy and purpose to our residents.”
Players will enjoy a day of friendly competition set high in the rolling hills of northwestern Pennsylvania, surrounded by the natural beauty of the Allegheny National Forest. Cash prizes will be awarded for the best scores, and golfers can also participate in a variety of fun side contests and raffles:
- Toss a beanbag into cornhole to move up a tee box
- Closest to the Line
- Golf ball air cannon
- New this year: “Putt Your Poison” – bottles of wine and liquor will be placed on the putting green, and if your putt hits one, you take it home!
- Chinese auction featuring great prizes
- Special raffle for a Grilling Trio—a gas grill, grilling utensils, and a gift certificate for steaks
Whether you’re a seasoned golfer or a weekend warrior, this event promises great golf, good food, and even better company—all in support of a meaningful mission. To register a team or for more information, please contact Craig Southard at 716-244-7454.
