The Rotary Club of Bradford hosted its first meeting for 2021-2022 fiscal year, Wednesday at the Pennhills Club in Bradford. William W. Chapman, outgoing president inducted Tina M. Martin as the club president for 2021-2022. Martin is currently the executive director of CARE for Children. She has been a Rotarian since 2006 and served on the board since 2016.
In remarks to the club, Martin identified several initiatives for the upcoming Rotary year including the continuation of Operation Warm which provides new winter coats to students in the Bradford Area School District; an electronics recycling event to be held September 25th; a Pediatric Dental Health Program for preschools and daycares; the maintenance of the Rotary Garden; and renewed efforts to build club membership.
At the meeting, Chapman presented several representatives, from various non-profits, with checks in support of services and programs from funds raised in 2020-2021 Those present to accept the donations were Deborah Price, CEO of Evergreen Elm, Steve Morgan, President and CEO of Futures Rehabilitation Center Inc., Angela Erway, Development and Marketing Director of the YWCA of Bradford, and representing CARE for Children, Valorie Coast, Finance & Office Manager and Kimberly Engstrom, Preschool Director.
