A drug dealer charged with causing the death of an Olean woman last April has been sentenced in connection with two drug cases against her.
Danee Ellis of Olean was sentenced to a year in jail for selling drugs on April 28 and June 7 in Olean.
Ellis was arrested on drug charges again in October — two months after being indicted for criminally negligent homicide. In that case, she’s accused of selling Suboxone to an undercover police operative.
The charge of criminally negligent homicide stems from the overdose death of 30-year-old Amy Graziano in April of last year. Ellis was accused of selling her fentanyl and telling her it was heroin, but the charge was dismissed because prosecutors say they couldn’t prove she knew the heroin was laced with fentanyl.
