The 2022 Blaisdell Pro Am Golf Tournament kicked off their first day of play on Monday at the Pennhills Club, pairing teams of 3 local amateur golfers with 2 PGA Class ‘A’ pros in a best ball 2 of 5, Gross & Net, format with a shotgun start.
The first place winners with a gross score of -19 were the team of Louis Sforza, Chris Reiley, and John Bedford, playing alongside Matt Clark, a pro with Niagara Frontier Country Club in Youngstown, NY, and Liam Friedman, a pro with Wollaston Golf Club in Milton, MA.
First place net score was -12 was earned by the team of Kathy Taylor, Kate Colella, and Hallie Dubia, playing alongside Michael Mancari, pro at Wild Wood Country Club in Rush, NY, and Philip Cardwell, pro with Rockville Links Country Club in Rockville, NY.
The action continues today as 68 PGA class ‘A’ pros compete for a newly increased $130,000 pro purse, with the top prize of $50,000 cash to the winning pro.
