The State Police based in Warren are asking for the public’s help in locating an Ohio man wanted on fraud charges. According to the Pennsylvania State Police , 55 year old Jack Robert Scott was doing business as Timberland Log Homes out of Pittsfield, Pa. Scott contracted with Eagles Nest Construction and Bob Russell of Lancaster, Ohio to provide building materials for a log home to be built on property located on Henderson Hollow Road. Russell paid Scott and Timberland Log Homes 18, 084.80 for the materials. Scott and Timberland Log Homes abandoned the project and failed to provide materials to Russell and Eagles Nest Construction. Timberland Log Homes website stated they were a representative of another company Timberhaven Log and Log Homes but Timberland was issued a cease and desist order from Timberhaven on March 15,2017. Scott also used his cell phone to facilitate fraud. Scott was charged on Friday with theft by deception, receiving stolen property, criminal use of a communication facility, and deceptive or fraudulent business practices.
