Archbishop Walsh Academy/Southern Tier Catholic School in Olean has announced relocation efforts.
According to yesterday’s press release, the school’s Board of Directors is currently developing an agreement with the Diocese of Buffalo to move school programming to one of the area’s former Catholic school buildings before next school year. This comes well after the Buffalo Diocese listed the school’s current building and property for $300,000 prior to the 2022/23 school year. The relocation comes as a result of the school’s current location being “not financially feasible”, particularly due to high facility costs and a decrease in student population size.
According to Walsh/STCS Board President Frank McAndrew, the school’s new location should be announced in the coming weeks.
