UPDATE: A body has been found at Jakes Rocks, but the sheriff’s office has not confirmed that it is Chambers.
Law enforcement officials from two states are looking for a Grand Island, New York, man who was declared missing on August 14, and whose vehicle was found in the Jakes Rocks area of the Allegheny National Forest Saturday afternoon.
The Warren County Sheriff’s Office says officers searched the area but couldn’t find 63-year-old Jack Chambers.
Chambers is white, 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 230 to 250 pounds. He has gray hair and wears glasses, and usually wears polo shirts and khaki pants or shorts. Officers say he suffers from knee problems and is hard of hearing.
Anyone who has seen Chambers is asked to call the Warren County Sheriff’s office at 723-7553 or US Forest Service Law Enforcement at 952-4527.
