A child welfare check led to the arrest of 3 Westfield residents on Sunday evening.
According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s office, they along with Westfield Police were doing a well-being check on 2 children when they discovered materials used in the manufacture of methamphetamine. A search warrant was then obtained. In addition to the hazardous materials, officers also found a quantity of fentanyl, 6.69 grams of methamphetamine, scales and packaging material used in the distribution of narcotics and a shotgun. Dana Walsh, Julie Warren and Gary Warren III were all charged with unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine, criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminally using drug paraphernalia, and endangering the welfare of a child. Additionally the Warrens were charged with criminal possession of a weapon.
All subjects were transported to the Centralized Arraignment Program at the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office Jail.
