An Olean man is facing several charges, including DWI, after he allegedly assaulted an Attica police officer and a Wyoming County sheriff’s deputy. Police say that 46 year-old David Woods Jr. drove his vehicle into a ditch on Dunbar Road in the town of Attica and after they arrived Woods allegedly punched an officer in the face. The officer then used his Tasor on Woods leading to a struggle between the two, and two volunteer firefighters had to help the officer get him under control. Woods later kicked a deputy sheriff in the knee causing injury, before being subdued again. He was taken to the Wyoming County Jail where he is behind held after failing to post bail.
