Karns City High School quarterback Mason Martin “was awake and alert” yesterday, as his father said in a Facebook post.
In the post, shared by the Karns City Gremlins football Facebook page, Denny Martin said that his son’s transfer to UPMC Mercy was postponed on Monday because of an infection that caused a fever. However, yesterday, he was able to leave UPMC Presbyterian, and hospital staff lined the hallway to wish him well.
The Facebook post also said Mason had his cranial flap put in place and he “looked like a new person” the day after. It mentioned him being awake and responsive, and improving every day.
His father is asking for continued prayers during the difficult times ahead, as he says, “the next six weeks are going to be challenging, and he needs your strength.”
Wishing Mason and his family the best! May God’s healing continue in Mason’s life and His blessings shower the family!
