Pirates pitcher Gerrit Cole hit a three-run homer to help lead Pittsburgh to an 8-3 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks and a sweep of their three-game series.
Pinch-hitter Josh Harrison smacked a two-run double off of the right-field wall in the sixth to break a 3-3 tie. The Bucs added three runs in the ninth.
Cole pitched only five innings and had to work out of a couple of jams. He gave up an unearned run, seven hits and three walks. He struck out five.
A.J. Schugel was credited with his first major league win.
