A trial date has been set for a former Bradford priest accused of sexually abusing two boys in Jefferson County.
Jury selection in the case of 64-year-old David Poulson is scheduled for October 9.
Bradford native Jim VanSickle, who says Poulson abused him in the early 1980s when he was teaching at Bradford Central Christian High School, tells us a possible plea agreement is in the works.
VanSickle says Senior Deputy Attorney General Daniel Dye has kept him updated on the status of the case. Dye did not immediately return a phone call we made to him.
Attorney General Josh Shapiro has said Poulson would have been charged for abusing VanSickle if the statute of limitations had not run out.
State lawmakers are expected to take up statute of limitations legislation before the end of the year.
