For the Pittsburgh Penguins, their road trip continues to go south as they drop another one on the road to the San Jose Sharks last night by a 2-1 score. Penguins head coach Mike Sullivan: “I’m not sure how many good things we did tonight,” he said.
“I don’t think we were nearly as good tonight as we’ve been. At least that was my observation from behind the bench. But having said that, it’s hard to win when you score one goal. We need to bring urgency every night. We understand the circumstance we’re in. I didn’t think we were as competitive tonight as we needed to be.”
The Pens have now lost three straight games and seven of nine. They remain mired near the bottom of the standings in the Eastern Conference ahead of only Buffalo.
