The city of Olean’s contractor will be starting curbside pickup of yard waste the last Wednesday of each month, from April through September.
The city’s Department of Public Works indicated that all yard waste must be in paper lawn bags, or in containers no larger than 30 gallons. No plastic bags will be accepted. Brush must be bundled together with twine or rope and no longer than 3 feet, and no wider than 18 inches in diameter.
According to the DPW, there is no charge for the service. Yard waste must be to the curb by 7am on collection days, with the first being on April 30. For more information, call 716-376-5651.
