Ryan McLeod scored a goal and added a couple of assists, and Sabres head coach Lindy Ruff finally got that 900th win as the Buffalo Sabres topped the Philadelphia Flyers 5-4 in the team’s season finale on Thursday night.

And so did Alex Tuch, who after the game spoke about how it was great to win the last game of the year to go out on a winning note and also happy for Coach Lindy Ruff. “It’s good to get the last win of the season and to get 900 for him, I think it’s really special, ” said Tuch. “I think it meant a lot to our group. I know he says it, but I’m guessing it probably means a lot to him, too.”
The Sabres finish the regular season 36-39-7.
