Pittsburgh Pirates Add Truby, Lamont to Staff

The Pirates announced yesterday that Chris Truby and Gene Lamont have joined the Major League coaching staff. Truby, whose role will be as a coach, began this year as Triple-A Indianapolis’ manager, while also serving as the organization’s minor league infield coordinator for the fourth year. Gene Lamont, who will serve as a special advisor to Manager Don Kelly, returns to the pirates for his third stint with the organization, having been the team’s coach and manager different times through the 80s and 90s.
