Buffalo Sabres defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen has been suspended by the NHL for three games for a hit on Pittsburgh Penguins forward Jake Guentzel Tuesday night. Ristolainen was charged with interference for his hit on Guentzel, which left the Penguins forward with a concussion. Ristolainen received a five-minute major penalty on the play and a game misconduct. This is the first time that the 22-year old defenseman has been suspended in his NHL career. Ristolainen leads the team defenseman in points with 44.
