A homeless man is charged with arson, risking a catastrophe and burglary in connection to a fire late Tuesday night at the Moose Club on Pennsylvania Avenue in Warren.
Court papers say 32-year-old Joseph Kuzminski told police he started the fires for heat and light but got distracted as he was looking through boxes and the fires got out of control. He allegedly lit candles in a storage room and lit items on fire in a plastic bucket, which set floorboards on fire.
Kuzminski also told police he took $500 worth of power tools from the First Presbyterian Church in Warren.
He’s in jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.
