The Bradford Owls football team finally kick off their season tonight in St. Mary’s after months of uncertainty.
The Owls season was riddled with postponements and unanswered questions for weeks, following an initial 2-week delay, the Owls would have started September 11th, but was pushed back one extra week with the finalization of the IU9 bubble.
Coach Puglio and the Owls stayed busy and focused, however, first with “Zoom meetings” for the team, then voluntary workouts, and eventually full practices, preparing the whole time as if they would start as scheduled. Puglio with his new look coaching staff revamped both the offense, which will focus more on the passing game than previous seasons, and defense, where they have switched from the 4-4 formation to the 4-2-5 formation we will see this year.
