A little over a month ago, we told you plans were in the works for the first Vets Fest on Pine Street, outside the American Legion.
When Bradford businessman Sam Sylvester went in front of Bradford City Council to talk about the event, he said it was being planned for Pine Street to get Main Street and the rest of the immediate downtown area involved.
The bands scheduled to perform are RJ and Lisa, McCoy’s Boys, Mick Marshall and Marshall Law, Marshmellow Overcoat and, from Pittsburgh, Smokin’ Section.
The bands will be playing from 3 to 10 p.m., and all proceeds will go to the Pennsylvania Veterans Foundation.
A beer truck will be on site, and City Council has already approved a waiver so people can drink it outside on Pine Street.
Vets Fest is on the same day as the VFW Auxiliary annual dice run and ride. Registration for that starts at 11 and the ride starts at noon.
